And the problem is that you spend all that money to make the manual tranny last longer (it still won't last forever), and it becomes basically unstreetable, without synchros, etc, etc. So it is a fantasy to think that because it has a 5-speed it is more "streetable." Therefore, the better use of resource is to do the th400, go faster, more consistently, with less money. With the money that you save, you can buy another cheap project car!
